One of the most distinctive bands to emerge over the last year,Bonfire Radicals return to The Queens Head. Loosely described as a psychedelic folk rock band, the Radicals weave folk, jazz and world music into a glorious fusion of woodwind,Scottish fiddle and percussive world beats. Anchored by the experience and vision of guitar/bouzouki maestro Andy Bole, the Radicals are a platform for a new and exciting wave of young musicians but more than that they are a band that views musical boundaries as just another fence to trample down. Moving seamlessly from folk themes into freewheeling jazz, the band whip up a tornado of musical frenzy that arguably stole the show at last year's Exile Festival.
Supporting them on this occasion will be Loughborough duo The Way Out who may well also spring a few surprises with their songwriting and range of accompaniment.
An intriguing double bill and one to turn up early for.
